Day 1
Arrive either Orlando or Jacksonville airport. Met by tour manager and transfer by private luxury air conditioned coach or car to the Marriott Hotel. The Marriott is a deluxe hotel in the heart of some of the finest courses in the world. The hotel features a fine restaurant, the Augustine Room, which is the only five star restaurant in north Florida. There is also an excellent lounge, Champs, which has live entertainment. Evening cocktails and go over the itinerary for the trip with the tour manager.
Days 2 - 6
We will play five of the best courses in the world; TPC Stadium course, TPC Valley, Marsh Landing, Sawgrass and Oak Bridge The most recognizable of the five is the famous TPC Stadium course. This is the course with the fable 17th hole par three island green. The annual Tournament Players Championship is played here in late March. Past champions include Greg Norman, Tom Kite, Nick Price and Fred Couples.
The TPC Valley course is right next to the Stadium course. It has hosted the prestigious U.S. Amateur (1994), U.S. Senior Championship and Cadillac NFL Golf Classic. The condition of this course is immaculate.
Sawgrass Country Club is another course most well informed golfers are familiar with. Sawgrass annually hosted the TPC until the TPC Stadium course was completed in 1980. Today it is one of the most exclusive private clubs in Florida.
Marsh Landing is right across from the TPC Sawgrass. Golf writer Dan Jenkins chose this course as his favorite, in fact he called the entire area we are playing as the "Pebble Beach of the East Coast". Marsh Landing annually host the Merrill Lynch Shootout played by the professional golfers right before the TPC.
Oak Bridge is another excellent course with a tight layout, small greens and water on most every hole. Oak Bridge is on the same property as the Stadium and Valley courses and requires precision iron play and well placed drives. Length is not necessary here, just accuracy.
As well as some of the world's best courses, the Marriott has an excellent private beach club with white sand and palm trees called The Cabana Club. You can sail, fish, boat or even horseback. Try some sightseeing in historic St. Augustine, boutique shopping at Sawgrass Village or at the Landing in Jacksonville...all nearby.
