The Florida Palm Tour, USA

Day 1
Arrive either Orlando or Jacksonville airport. Met by tour manager and transfer by private air conditioned coach or car to the Sea Turtle Inn right on Jacksonville beach. All rooms overlook the Atlantic Ocean. The hotel features one of the finest restaurants in Florida, winning the Florida Trend Magazine's Golden Spoon Award. There is an excellent lounge featuring live entertainment. Evening cocktails and go over the itinerary for the trip with the tour manager.

Days 2 - 6
W we will play five of the best courses in North Florida; Queens Harbor, Hidden Hills, Windsor Park, Ravines and Cimarrone. All are par 72 courses and each distinctly unusual and challenging.

Queens Harbor is one of the finest private golf courses in the area and considered one of the most beautiful. Many of the holes wander along the Intercostal Waterway. Queens Harbor has hosted the NCAA championship and 1992 and 1993 City Amateur and 1993 Regional PGA Tour Qualifying. Large cypress and oak trees cover almost every fairway.

Hidden Hills was home to the Greater Jacksonville Open which Tony Jacklin won in 1969. Fast undulating greens, plenty of water and narrow fairways makes it a tremendous challenge.

Windsor Park was voted best new course in the southern U.S. and 4th best in the nation in 1992. It has hosted the National Junior Championship and qualifying for the U.S. Open. The Ravines was voted 14th best course in Florida. Not long but a slope rating of 133. The ravines features an 18 hole Himalayas putting green. It's fun and a great place to sharpen up your putting.

Cimarrone Golf Course is called "The Wild One". Set among tall Florida pine trees, this course features long par fours, plenty of dog legs and risk rewarding par fives.

As well as great golf courses there are excellent white beaches, shops, restaurants and bars. Right next to the Sea Turtle Inn is the famous Ragtime with one of the best bars and restaurants in the area and they make their own beer which is excellent.
