World Golf Tour
April 9 – May 5, 2009
One of the most exciting golf trips being planned by Executive Golf Tours is our World Golf Tour to tee-off in April, 2009. The tour is a collaborative effort with Executive Golf Tours, Executive Golf Tours UK (www.execgolftours.com) and Jet Set Charters of Miami, Florida (www.jscharter.com). Combined, these three organizations have over 80 years of event planning and hosting. This promises tso be the golf trip of a lifetime. During 25 days we will play 15 courses on 6 continents. While the specific itinerary is explained below, allow me to give you a brief overview of the tour. At the end of this page you will find a day-to-day itinerary of the World Golf Tour.
We will begin the tour by attending the final two rounds of The Masters. Following this incredible event we will continue on to Caracas, Venezuela; Marrakech, Morocco; Marbella Club, Spain; St. Andrews, Scotland; Dubai; Melbourne, Australia and conclude with, where else, Pebble Beach, California. Now, how many golfers do you know that can say they have golfed around the world? As with all our tours, participants will stay in first-class luxury accommodation, enjoy gourmet fine dining, chauffeur limousine service, etc. Absolutely first-class all the way!
A very special aspect of the tour is that we will have a PGA touring professional with us, as well. While we cannot announce the name of the touring pro at this time, I can assure you it will be a name that everyone will know.
Most of our tours involve executive jets that carry 8 to 14 passengers. However, for this tour we will be using a Boeing 757 executive jet provided by Jet Set Charters. The aircraft provides for only 50 passengers, so you can imagine the luxurious spacious room our guests will enjoy. The aircraft will be perfect for our 40 clients and 10 staff.
Included with the World Golf Tour will be:
- Rounds of golf and gratuities
- Meals and gratuities; breakfast, lunch and dinner
- Transfers by limousine service and luxury coaches between airports, hotels and golf courses
- Charter airline service; Boeing 757 executive jet
- Activities listed under each location

While in flight you will enjoy a variety of movies, music, card games, gourmet meals, etc. and who knows: Maybe you’ll put together a business deal or make a new friendship. A member of our staff is not only a professional bartender, but also a professional poker and blackjack dealer. He
will also be organizing a pinochle tournament, which will run throughout the tour. All guests will be given a questionnaire a few months prior to the tour which will ask them to be specific as to what activities, besides golf they would like to have on the tour. I can guarantee they will be provided without exception: You ask for it - you’ll have it! All ground transportation between airports, hotels and golf courses will be by limousines and luxury coaches.
April 9, 2009
Our guests will fly to the Atlanta, USA airport where they will be met by the World Golf Tour staff and taken by limousine to the Marriott Airport Hotel where we will have a welcome reception. Once all guests are assembled, we will be transported by luxury coach to Augusta where everyone will check in to their luxury guest homes. A wonderful dinner will follow.
While in Augusta our guests will enjoy:

This day will be a carbon copy of the previous day at The Masters. The transfer time back to the host home for dinner will be flexible as it will be difficult to determine when the tournament will be completed. April 13, 2009

Our last morning in Augusta will be spent with an early breakfast at the host home. Then it's off to the Augusta airport, Bush Field, where we will leave in our private chartered jet for Caracas, Venezuela. While in flight, guests will enjoy a variety of entertainment to include movies, videos, card games, a delicious lunch, catching up on business back home, etc. We will arrive in Caracas by late afternoon and be transported by limousines to the Gran Malia Hotel, considered by many as the finest hotel in Venezuela. April 14, 2009
Following a traditional Venezuelan breakfast, the group will depart for one of the finest courses in South America - Lagunita Country Club. Picturesque and a wonderful test of golf. Lagunita Country Club is basically a golf, tennis and swimming club. It is the most ambitiously designed golf club in Venezuela. It was built at the same time as La Lagunita, private villas aimed at the successful businessmen, TV actors and those who make up the city's nouveau riche. Members can also practice paragliding and rock climbing at the club. It is located near El Hatillo, a little colonial town that has become part of outer Caracas. After golf, guests will be transported back to the Gran Malia Hotel for dinner, entertainment and a restful night.

April 15, 2009
After breakfast at the Gran Malia Hotel, guests will be chauffeured to the airport where we will fly to Marrakech, Morocco. Lunch will be served on the plane. As with all the long flights, there is a wide variety of entertainment. We will arrive in Marrakech late afternoon and be taken by limousine to the Ksar Char Bagh Hotel. The design of this grand hotel palace was inspired by the Moorish architecture of the XIV century in the middle of the palm groves of Marrakech. This palace is decorated with exclusive and ancient objects which give the hotel a magical feeling. Following check in, guests will enjoy an absolutely world-class dining experience prepared by some of the finest chefs in the Mediterranean area. After dinner, guest, will be hosted for a lively “night on the town!”

April 16, 2009

Following breakfast, guests will be driven to the Samanah Country Club. Samanah is considered one of the finest country clubs in Africa. Designed by Jack Nicklaus, golfers will play one of the most beautiful layouts in the world and will be required to use every club in their bag. While at times the course can be forgiving, golfers will find that keeping the ball in the fairway is paramount. After golf, guests will be chauffeured back to the host hotel for another remarkable dinner and their choice of relaxing or enjoy more of the Moroccan night life.
April 17, 2009
This day will be spent exactly the same as the previous day - golf at the Samanah Country Club. This is definitely a course that you want to play twice. Following golf guests return to the host hotel for a fabulous dinner and evening.
April 18, 2009
After breakfast guests will be transported to the Marrakech airport where we will enjoy a short flight to Malaga, Spain. If you have not been to Malaga you are in for a real treat. Absolutely one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Upon arrival we will check in to the host hotel, Hotel Puente Romano. When visiting Spain this is where the rich and famous stay, guests have included Sean Connery, Rod Stewart and Bill Clinton. They also have one of the finest golf courses in Europe and which is solely for the resort guests. The resort also has a private beach club and is located near to Marbella and Puerte Banus where the rich and famous berth their yachts. The area is also known for the wonderful night life including several world-class casinos.
April 19, 2009
As with every day, breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided, but this day you may want to take advantage of all that the Marbella Club has to offer, including golf, tennis, hiking, horseback riding. There is just so much to do at the club you will have a hard time deciding. Click on the link and see what we mean, but don't get too tired during the day. Dinner back at the Marbella Club will not only feature another meal of world-class cuisine, but an evening of entertainment and Flamenco dancing.
April 20, 2009

This is going to be one of the highlight days of the entire tour. Following breakfast, our guests will be transported to the Valderrama Country Club . Following an early breakfast, guests will play the Marbella Club course once again. Lunch will be included in the days activities. At the end of the golf, guests will be driven to Malaga airport for the 3-hour flight to the home of golf – St. Andrew’s, Scotland. While I’m sure many of our guests will have played St. Andrew’s in the past, can you really play this course too many times? I don’t think so either! Upon arrival, guests will be transported by limousine service to either the Fairmont Hotel or the Old Course Hotel and, following dinner, enjoy a wonderful evening in one of Scotland’s oldest communities.

April 22, 2009
This will be one of our few non-golfing days of the tour. After breakfast, guests will have their choice of so many attractions in St. Andrews. You may want to take in The Royal and Ancient St. Andrews Museum of Golf with history dating back over 600 years. Lunch will be enjoyed at the Links Trust Clubhouse. The afternoon can be spent experiencing St. Andrews, one of the oldest towns in Scotland. For that evening, your Scottish President of Executive Golf Tours, has arranged for a Scottish evening with Highland dancing, “Piping the Haggis” and, of course, a few drams of the finest Scottish whisky.
April 23, 2009

While I'm sure you will agree that attending The Masters, playing Valderrama and anticipating Pebble Beach are significant, today, following breakfast, guests will play a course that many consider to be 'holy ground'. The Old Course of St. Andrews, designed in part by Old Tom Morris, has been the site of so much history. Not only Jack, Arnie and Tiger, but so many other golfers through history have made their mark at St. Andrews. Now it's going to be your turn. Lunch will be enjoyed and a traditional Scottish dinner will follow. You may want to spend the evening around town or simply reflect on your memorable round of golf.
April 24, 2009

Our Scottish host, has arranged for our guests to play another famous course - Carnoustie. Like St. Andrews, Carnoustie has been the site of The British Open and numerous other historic golf championships. Following breakfast, guests will be transported the 45-minute drive to Carnoustie for another wonderful day of golf in Scotland. Again, lunch will be included and following the round of golf, guests will return to the host hotel in St. Andrews for dinner and a relaxing evening.
April 25, 2009
Our third day of golf, following breakfast, in Scotland will be on either the New St. Andrews golf course or The Jubilee Golf Club. Both are fine courses and we know you will enjoy them. Lunch will be included, as always, and following the round of golf guests will be able to enjoy the remainder of the day exploring the picturesque town and another wonderful dinner. After dinner guests may choose to relax or enjoy the final night in St. Andrews.
April 26, 2009
After breakfast at The Old Course Hotel, guests will be chauffeured to the airport to board our B757 executive jet and fly to Dubai. In route, guests will be able to enjoy all the entertainment the executive jet has to offer. Upon arrival, guests will be driven by limousine to the Palace of the Royal Mirage. The hotel is just minutes from the Dubai International Airport and opposite the prestigious Emirates Golf Club and adjacent to the Dubai International Marine Club. The Palace of the Royal Mirage blends fantasy and tradition in the opulent splendor of a rediscovered Arabian fortress, this distinctive beach resort pays homage to Arabian architecture and hospitality. Following dinner you will want to simply walk the grounds of this incredible property. Every amenity imaginable with be available to you.

April 27, 2009
Guests this morning will enjoy a unique dining experience as breakfast will be served on the hotel terrace overlooking the Emirates Golf Club. Following breakfast, guests will be transported to the Dubai Creek Golf Club for a round of golf. Lunch will be served between nines. As the story goes, the Sheik of Dubai wanted to build his own golf course. To do so, he had enough earth moved on to a small island to create this unique golfing experience.

He basically built his own island just for golf. After golf, guests will be driven to the host hotel for an al fresco dinner. There is so much to do in Dubai it is impossible to list all the possibilities, but the hotel alone has enough amenities and activities to keep you happily busy.
April 28, 2009
Following breakfast, guests will enjoy the Emirates Golf Club which is conveniently on the doorstep. Both this course and the Dubai Creek Golf Club have been the site of the Dubai Open. Again, lunch will be served between nines. After golf, guests will be transported back to the Palace of the Royal Mirage for a wonderful dinner and evening of traditional entertainment.

April 29, 2009
After three nights and two fabulous days in Dubai, it's off to Melbourne, Australia. This will be a long day in the air, so we will have to get an early start. Following breakfast, guests will be transported to the Dubai International Airport where we will board our executive jet. As in past days of the tour, guests will enjoy every amenity the aircraft has to offer. Card games will be played, business dealings transpired, conversations, reading a good book or two. We will arrive several hours later in Melbourne where guests will be transported to The Langham Hotel Melbourne. While we will be staying in many world-class hotels during our tour, this 5-star resort hotel is unmatched when it comes to amenities, gourmet dining, luxury rooms and absolutely world-class service.
April 30, 2009
We're now approaching the home stretch of this historic tour. Today, following breakfast at the hotel, guests will be chauffeured to one of Australia's finest - Royal Melbourne Golf Club. Truly, one of the finest golf courses in the world. Lunch will be provided at the course between nines. Following golf, guests will return to the host hotel for dinner and exciting entertainment you won't soon forget. If you have not experienced Maori war dancing, we guarantee you won't forget this experience. Even though you know it's entertainment, the dancers will still make the hair on the back of your neck stand up. We know from first-hand experience. Really, they are incredible!

May 1, 2009
The previous day we played the West Course of Royal Melbourne. This day, following breakfast and transport, guests will play the East Course. They are two distinctively different 18 holes and you can enjoy the variety the courses have to offer. After golf, guests will be taken back to the hotel for dinner. We've been doing a great deal of travelling thus far and the next day will be a 14-hour flight, so we are not planning anything for this evening, assuming our guests will want to catch their breath and take a little bit of rest and relaxation.
May 2, 2009
We will have breakfast at the hotel before departing for the Melbourne Airport. From there we will make the 14-hour flight to the last stop on our World Golf Tour - the Monterey Peninsula of California. Now, keep in mind we are crossing the international date line. So, we will leave Melbourne at approximately 8:00 AM on May 2nd and arrive in Monterey approximately 5:00 AM on May 2nd. We arrive before we left. Since we will arrive early in the morning we will take this day to recover from the flight. No events will be planned but of course breakfast, lunch and dinner will be there for your pleasure. We will check in to The Lodge at Pebble Beach or The Inn at Spanish Bay shortly after arriving.
May 3, 2009
Jack Nicklaus once said that if he had one round of golf to play he would want the course to be the Pebble Beach Golf Course. Few other courses in the world have more history than Pebble Beach, but we don't need to tell you that. What World Golf Tour would be complete without a stop at this famous golf course. Following breakfast, guests will be transported to the course for an unforgettable experience. Lunch will be included, as always, and after golf, guests will be returned to The Lodge at Pebble Beach for cocktails and dinner.

May 4, 2009
For our second day of golf on the Monterey Peninsula, following breakfast, guests will be transported to the Poppy Hills Golf Course. As is Pebble Beach, Poppy Hills is part of The AT&T National Pro-Am Tournament. It may not be as well known as other courses, but make no mistake, this is a wonderful golf course. In the evening dinner is at the host hotel which offers world-class cuisine.
May 5, 2009

Well, here we are. Our penultimate stop on the World Golf Tour is Spyglass Hills Golf Course. Ah, what a way to end the trip! Considered by many as the finest property of the Del Monte Corporation, this wonderful golf course will challenge even the most accomplished golfer. Following golf, guests will be driven to the hotel where they will undoubtedly want to spend a few peaceful hours resting. Since the dinner this night will be our last time together it will be a very special event. The evening will include not only a gourmet meal, but entertainment that will leave you wanting more. Guests will return to their rooms for the close of the evening. Following breakfast the next morning, guests will be transported to the Monterey Airport for their flight home.
